Though being an international ministry,

I care especially for the region of Vancouver,

where the ministry materialized

at the beginning of the year 2019.

Churches

When you search for a church, then first of all pray to THEOS to lead you.

Secondly, search locally (ideally same neighborhood) in order to not only attend on a Sabbath, but to be an integral part in local activities involving your church, both for fellowship and outreach. Avoid churches that have tendencies towards Catholicism, Calvinism (usually concealed by churches involved in it - this might take time to discern or the courage to actively ask if they are reformed)Easy Believism (do they equate a sinner's prayer with Past Salvation), EcumenismEgalitarianism (no female elders / shepherds / overseers; but make sure that women are represented in all other ministerial functions such as deacons)Hyper-Grace (grace over sanctification and holiness), Mysticism & Contemplative Prayer, extreme forms of Pentecostalism (e.g. equating Past Salvation with tongues), Prosperity Gospel, Once-Saved-Always-Saved et al. . Make also sure that there are a plurality of elders / shepherds (=modern pastor) / overseers.

A very effective way to evaluate a church is to look at their library or book recommendations - if available. Another way to easily discern is to do a quick background search of any authors and teachers mentioned in sermons (with a healthy portion of grace) or on their social media feed. Verify the financial ties of a church by visiting the Charity Finder (link CA, US). Strictly avoid churches that use the Passion Translation or the Message Bible; even a sporadic use is a red flag. Be very cautious with a church that uses the New Living Translation or similar.
Once discerned, then enjoy to serve the LORD and open yourself to a fruitful fellowship.

Evangelism

"I have told the glad new of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O LORD. I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation." Psa 40:9-10

* this prayer does not save you; see for further steps 'How do I follow Jesus?'

* Flyer created by Fit For Faith Ministries. No copyright restrictions.
