Though being an international ministry,
I care especially for the region of Vancouver,
where the ministry materialized
at the beginning of the year 2019.

When you search for a church, then first of all pray to THEOS to lead you.
Secondly, search locally (ideally same neighborhood) in order to not only attend on a Sabbath, but to be an integral part in local activities involving your church, both for fellowship and outreach. Avoid churches that have tendencies towards Catholicism, Calvinism (usually concealed by participating churches - this might take time to discern or the courage to actively ask), Easy Believism (do they equate a sinner's prayer with Past Salvation), Ecumenism, Egalitarianism (no female elders or general pastors, but make sure that women are represented in all other ministerial functions), Hyper-Grace (grace over sanctification and holiness), Mysticism & Contemplative Prayer, extreme forms of Pentecostalism (e.g. equating Past Salvation with tongues), Prosperity Gospel, Once-Saved-Always-Saved et al. .
A quick way to evaluate a church is to look at their library or book recommendations - if available. Another way to easily discern is to do a quick background search of any authors and teachers mentioned in sermons (with a healthy portion of grace). Verify the financial ties of a church by visiting the Charity Finder (link CA, US). Strictly avoid churches that use the Passion Translation or the Message Bible.
"I have told the glad new of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O LORD. I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation." Psa 40:9-10
The following courses can be recommended for unbelievers and those who recently became a believer.
* avoid taking the popular Alpha Course, which is produced in close collaboration with the Catholic Church; see separate Discernment. I have personally taken and led in the past 7 Alpha Courses and know first hand about the problems of this ecumenical tool, although it has many benefits and has led many to CHRIST.
I regularly check and select the most relevant Christian events - those happening in-person in Greater Vancouver or online around the globe.
Please contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) for any events you recommend to be added.
